well, the last couple times I’ve been down there, the weather in tempe has been lovely. my car doesn’t have AC and because of that fact especially, I wish the weather wouldn’t get god awful hot like I know it will SOON. here’s what’s up lately, via photos. and also: coconut water. have you tried it yet!!!? I’m not sure how but until recently, I didn’t know it’s sold in juice containers. I always loved the stuff on vacations- drinking right outta the coconut. it’s not super cheap but I’ve been trying to buy the largest containers possible to get bang for my buck. anyway I love love love the stuff and I knew it had to be healthy so I checked it out. and wow! good for me! and maybe good for you?? p.s. I have a hair appt next thursday. so excited to get it cut and cover up those roots! p.p.s. what am I doing wrong with the html link here? does tumblr support this code? I’m a newbie… I was much better at this during my myspace days ha ha.

hungover breakfast at harlow’s. this was about an hour before I developed a POUNDING AWFUL PAINFUL headache :’(

we decided to climb up on the 1004 roof for the first time. it was nice.

bummer! I drive this strech of road pretty frequently… I’m glad I wasn’t planning on doing so today!
getting on the floatie at apache lake. the water was awfully cold but once I was balanced on the floatie and the sun was beating down on me, it was pretty awesome. video via 8 mm.
—Home And Somewhere Else
I have been away from home for almost a week now, and before that I was staying at my old home, my mom’s house. more about all of that later on, but for now I am glad glad glad to be home (and to see my cats!) here’s a great mimicking birds song: home and somewhere else. I listened to mimicking birds as I tried somewhat successfully to sleep on an airplane last saturday night. it was the best music to have picked.
Home
I think I think best at home
Somewhere else on a shelf sits new ideas not yet my own
Somewhere else perfect health with no bad memories just good bones
Home
I even get lost at home
Somewhere else someone helps everyone else except their own self
Somewhere else something melts making new sceneries

1) no excuses or apologies. I have read many handfuls of blogs, and I always always find it irritating when the author makes excuses for why they didn’t blog that day, or apologizes for the same. I hope to post with frequency, but I don’t plan on making it a scheduled thing. blogging is about sharing your REAL LIFE.. right? you’ve gotta be living it and not worrying about documenting it to achieve that.
2) share details, but not too many details! I don’t want to come across as vague, but I also feel a twinge of weirdness about the vulnerability of letting my words flow into public cyberspace. not paying myself self-flattery here, though, I mean really- how many people are actually going to read this anyway!
3) enjoy it. I have kept journal for as long as I could write, and I have always enjoyed that, so I don’t see why I shouldn’t enjoy it. but tying into #1, posting needs to be a carefree thing, always for self-fulfillment.
I will add more goals if and when they come to me.
p.s. I am still brainstorming ideas for the name of the blog. currently, it seems to fit what I am trying to cover: the past, and the present… living in the now and documenting it later. but I’ve not settled on the name by any stretch. feedback is welcome.
